Anita, Keith, Doug, Nick and Caroline travelled to California in July 2019 to attend the memorial for Ian. There we met up with other members of the family and friends of Ian. And we also took a little time to be tourists and visit a few of the local sights.
We stayed in a hotel in Petaluma, but visited the Point Reyes National Seashore, the Marin Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate, and the California Academy of Sciences.
Ian's memorial took place in the shade of the redwoods at Lake Lagunitas.
