The famous Marrakech. We were lodged in a 5-star hotel just outside the medina, and to get there we had to cross a road that took no prisioners. The souk in the medina was busy, fascinating, and vast, but also fed by motorbikes, and in Morocco the pedestrian is definitely below the motor vehicle in status. Marrakech is also much more easily accessible for tourists, so amazing as it is, it was a bit of a let down after all the rest we had seen in Morroco.
But a walled city, with snow-covered mountains as a backdrop. The Jamaa el Fna central square where you can eat, see, hear and buy anything it seems, day or night! The Majorelle gardens were a respite, but surprising busy even at that time of year, but beautifully laid out and tended.
