"It was raining when we left the church on Friday night.  It rained continuously until it changed to snow around 2am on Sunday. Not all the tents collapsed - just some of them."

The Venturers participated with four other Venturers and Scout groups in a Winter Camping Weekend at the Old Port of Montreal on 27-28th January 2001.  Other than having fun and eating well, the purpose was to demonstrate to the public what Scouting is about, and to publicize Scouting in general.  Click here for an album of photos from that event.
At the Scouts Canada open house, February 2001, Terra Cotta's Venturers and a Scout set up and operated the aerial runway, as they have done for several years. This is always a great attraction. In this picture are Venturers Kevin B. and Pete L.
On 24th March 2001 Terra Cotta took part with all the other groups in Pointe-Claire, and many of the other groups in Quebec, in a Spring Sharing food drive. In this picture are Cub Patrick, Scout Nick, Beaver Kevin, and Beaver leader Phil at the Maxi supermarket.
Another shot from the Spring Sharing food drive. In this picture are Beaver Eric, Scout Nick, Beaver leader Elizabeth, Beaver Kevin and Cub Eric.

Together the six scout groups in Pointe-Claire District collected about 225 bags of groceries and $770 in cash to benefit several food-banks in the city of Pointe-Claire.
The food and money collected during the Spring Sharing food drive was presented to the Becket Pantry food bank

As part of the province-wide Spring Sharing food-drive our members collected food outside the Metro store in Pointe-Claire Plaza in March 2002. We collected about 40 shopping bags of food and approximately $300 in donations, all of which was donated to St John Fisher church.
