After the morning on Machu Picchu we returned to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then took the train back to Ollantaytambo and drove back to Cuzco where we spent two nights.
Aguas Calientes' only access to the outside world is by the railway, so there are almost no roads there. Porters move everything around (up steep hills) on hand carts and dollies, and the train runs right though the town,"almost through" the restaurant.
On our full day in Cuzco most of us visited the public market, and then wandered the town shopping for alpaca wool, jewelry and cloth or checking the sights. Doug and Terry spent the morning horseback riding just outside the city. In the evening we all visited the Cuzco Planetarium on the hills outside the city.
