Nine of us came together for a two week tour of Peru during January 2017. We knew it was the rainy season, and it rained 14 days out of 16, but without seriously getting in the way.
Our trip took us from Lima, down the coast to Paracas where we visited the Islas Ballestas, and then inland to Nazca to see the Nazca Lines. After that there was a long drive to Arequipa and a flight to Cuzco which was the base for exploring the Inca Sacred Valley and in particular Machu Picchu. From Cuzco we then drove to Puno to visit Lake Titicaca and finally fly back to Lima.
Most of these photos are tagged with GPS information, meaning if you click the icon at the bottom right of the photo a map will be turned on or off. You can also download the KML file or the GPX file if you wish to view the route in Google Earth or Google Maps. The GPS is mainly accurate, but there are some gaps.
We had visited Peru in 2014 for a week's trip along the Amazon (photos here), and we were itching to get back to see more of Peru.
Enjoy!
